Now... the 1998 Movie Reviews!!!
- AS GOOD AS IT GETS- Terrific. Thoroughly entertaining. I suggest it for anyone with any sense of maturity. I apologize for the delay for this review. Go see it if you haven't yet.
- Sphere- Now this is one weird movie. Premise was real good. Could have made a hell of a flick, but I give it only two stars because the support for the plot (what the sphere does) doesn't hold up that much. Wasn't a complete waste of time.
- Replacement Killers- Decent. Wasn't wowed but didn't feel I was ripped off. If you like killing and only killing- it's your thing.
- DESPERATE MEASURES- Critics don't know what they're talking about. This movie was really good. It had everything- Keaton was great and Garcia broke from his usual 2-d performance and added depth to his arsenal. See it.
- Wag the Dog- Snorrrrrrre. You'd think with a killer duo as Deniro and Hoffman you couldn't lose-- but this one did. It had a couple witty moments which couldn't be sustained throughout the flick. Don't waste your time.
- Fallen- This is one weird movie. It's crude at first, but then it gets really good. The ending has a huge twist and gave me brain cramp... all I can say is Unique.
- HALF BAKED- Hilarious! I was so suprised. I was cracking up every minute in this movie. Dave Chappelle is one funny guy... go see it if you don't cling too much on morals.

Funniest Movies of the Year:
Latest 1997 Movies:
- TITANIC- Great. The 3 hrs and 14 mins seemed like it was only 2.5 hours long. Outstanding Special Effects. The 3rd best movie of the year-- go see it.
- Jackie Brown- Interesting. Samuel L lived up to his rep. Deniro could have been more involved. It wasn't another Pulp Fiction as Tarentino intended but I thought it was worth seeing- the final "play" scene was great.
- Tomorrow Never Dies- Action packed. Not for those who concentrate on total plot. It's got the core violence and other features that make the Bond series famous. If you like 007, go see it. Nice car!
- SCREAM 2- Suprisingly good. Sequels rarely match up to their predecessors, but this one did. An entertaining film, which I recommend for a good time at the movies... I strongly recommend seeing Scream 1 to understand everything. Love the leading ladies!!!
- RAINMAKER- Great, the best lawyer movie I have ever seen. I recommend this to anyone over thirteen. Danny Devito's one funny guy.
- Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil- Very interesting with a complex plot but slowwwwwww. The story and the characters all have good aspects, but the plot takes forever to move along.
- Mortal Kombat: Annhilation- That's a shame. Mortal Kombat one found a good compromise between plot and action (fighting/graphics), but I don't think this sequel did-- but there are some hot chicas to see... got my inner spirits in an uproar!
- Alien Resurrection- I was sorely dissapointed. I expected a lot more to end this classic series. Killing and gore, could have used a lot more plot--- max 1.5 out of 4 stars.
- Jackel- Ehhh. I was expecting a lot more from this movie. The more Bruce Willis talked, the better it got- he didn't talk much.
- I Know What You Did Last Summer!- A rip off of Scream that wasn't as good, but it's worth it just to see the two leading ladies... yummy!
- Gattaca- Interesting but slow, dreary, and drawn out-- European!
- Starship Troopers- If you care about accuracy in plot, consistency in plot, or just PLOT, this is not your movie, but if you like gratuitous violence and awesome special effects... what are you waiting for!
- DEVIL'S ADVOCATE- Simply a must see!!! Great turn around ending. You can't beat Pacino.
- Kiss the Girls- Simply a must see!!! Morgan is the man.
- In & Out- funny but plays too much on the gay stereotype
Best movies of the year:
- Face/Off
- Contact
- Titanic
- Rainmaker
- Scream 2
Look for the new X-Files Movie, I heard it was good. Do you believe?
